Gabriele vom Bruck has conducted extensive field research in Yemen and has published on elites, religious movements, gender, consumption, photography and memory and history. She taught Social Anthropology with reference to the Middle East at the London School of Economics, the University of Edinburgh and the School of Oriental & African Studies, University of London.
