He held various positions during his tenure in the United Nations including as Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Sudan and South Sudan (2011-2013).
Dr Tarek Mitri is former Under-Secretary General of the United Nations and Special Representative of the UN Secretary General in Libya. He is currently the President of St George University of Beirut. Dr Mitri held several ministerial positions in the Lebanese Government: Minister of Culture
Ahmedou Ould Abdallah is the former Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Mauritania, and former Minister of Commerce and Transportation, as well as former Ambassador to Washington and to the European Union in Brussels.
